ATR aircraft have had an icing problem historically with a number of crashes caused by icing. This one was strange. They were at cruise and not in a hold. Typically if you reduce power the nose will come down and you will come out of the stall. They reduced power very late based on the video sound. As far as the info the doctors had, it must be on a hard drive or flash drive somewhere.

ATR aircraft have had an icing problem historically with a number of crashes caused by icing. This one was strange. They were at cruise and not in a hold. Typically if you reduce power the nose will come down and you will come out of the stall. They reduced power very late based on the video sound. As far as the info the doctors had, it must be on a hard drive or flash drive somewhere.

I can’t fathom why these doctors did not publish their work prior to their flight. Surely they would have realized they would be vulnerable until their work was published. Once public the incentive to silence them would be moot.
