I agree 100% with what you are saying here and have long held that Pfizer is one of the worst. That said you can no longer purchase ranitidine (the active ingredient in the original Zantac) either by prescription or over the counter (OTC) in the United States. They have rebranded Zantac with the active famotidine, a similar anti-histamine acid reducer previously (and still) marketed as Pepcid or Pecid AC (OTC). I am unsure as to the status of the carcinogen amount found in this or many other drugs, prescription and OTC, but remember well the drug shortages we experienced pre-covid with all the revelations regarding its addition in many ARB (angiotensin receptor blocker) drugs--valsartan, losartan, etc, and many manufacturers of metformin also had this issue. It has somehow (???) gone away thanks to everyone paying more attention to covid...I wonder if the problem still exists only now no one is looking??? I'd be interested in reading more about the issue and exactly why or how it got into our drug supply. Just one more reason to make sure you STAY HEALTHY so you don't need to rely on these drugs for your well being.
